>From what I understand, from one of our colleagues, U.S. Park PD began
experiencing radio troubles on the analog system this past Friday.
Throughout the weekend, officers switched between the two systems but
mostly kept on the new digital channel, 171.775, which appears to be
entirely encrypted. Apparently, the agency decided not to switch back to
the analog system despite the fact that the cut-over was not scheduled so
soon.
I will certainly miss that wonderful and powerful wide-band channel. What
a loss... and we don't even get to monitor the new digital channels either.
