If you order one does it come with a tinfoil hat? While I can see someone
being curious/paranoid about being scanned at other than a toll booth, I'm
not seeing the utility of this detector -- other than to separate people
from their money. The site states, "Avoid vehicle tracking" but doesn't
explain how. If you don't have an E-ZPass (or one of the other listed tags)
then your vehicle can't be tracked by that means. If you do have an E-ZPass
and are concerned, you would spend a lot of time pulling it out and putting
it in the RFID-proof bag when you needed to pay a toll, since at all other
times it would have to be rendered undetectable. Unless the idea is to
ferret out those random rogue detectors, map them out, and avoid driving in
those locations.
