[Scan-DC] Current and historical radar and sound information for flights into/out of DCA, IAD, and other airports

This site is quite nifty. It includes current and historical radar tracking of flights into and out of various airports, with real-time sound level readings from sensors along the approach/departure paths.



I believe the basic purpose of the site is to report noisy planes (hmmm...). I was not aware of this site before getting a link in a neighborhood posting from some crazies in Arlington County complaining about airplane noise from those new-fangled jet-powered aeroplanes departing DCA. Some nerve building a new airport in the midst of our urban village! I can't wait to retire so I can start yelling at clouds. :)



Note: The site kind of loads a bit weird and you have to agree to some ominous-looking legal warning.
