[Scan-DC] First of its kind

per the documentation, It uses the gps to select the RRDB near your location to track public service frequencies and the bear tracker looks for low power transmissions to warn of nearby police activity.  It is not FCC type approved yet so it cannot be offered for sale.  It will receive p25 type I and II and analog.
It sounds like a CB with an HP II and built in GPS, that will look for low powered law transmissions to warn you.  DUH, too much crap in a cb rig. Joel R Kahn

Has anybody actually tried this Uniden BearTracker 885 or know somebody who
has one?

I am skeptical it can be of much use these days... the online brochure makes
it sound so useful.

And what frequencies exactly does that BearTracker Warning System monitor?
