Emergency preparedness presentations from OEMHS
Good afternoon Nextdoor community:
The Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (OEMHS) will be visiting Montgomery County Public Libraries to provide information about preparing for disasters to the community. During the presentation, we’ll discuss some of the major hazards that Montgomery County faces and some specific steps you can take to prepare for them, along with information on how to write a plan and build a kit that will help you prepare for an emergency. There is no cost to attend the presentation, but we ask that you register, so that we can bring enough information for you to take come and continue the planning process. You’ll find the events in your Nextdoor calendar, or you can visit our homepage at http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/oemhs/ to find out more information about registering.
If you are interested in having us come out and speak to your organization or community, we have created an online form where you can request presentations on emergency preparedness. To request a speaker, please visit: http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/oemhs/contact/speaker-requests.html
Lastly, if you haven’t done so already, please sign up for Alert Montgomery to receive traffic, weather, and emergency alerts to your mobile device: http://alert.montgomerycountymd.gov/
Sincerely,
Joe Corona
