The Maryland Association of Historic District Commissions invites you to a Social Hour at the College Park Aviation Museum.

The museum is located on the grounds of the world's oldest continuously operating airport, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Maryland's historic preservation commissioners, local government staff and elected officials, students, and preservationists are welcome for this casual social networking event in a historic locale.

Prince George's County Historic Preservation Chairman and Historian John Peter Thompson will be speaking about the history of the Beltsville USDA facility and the curator of the Aviation Museum will present the history of the airport.

Maryland's historic preservation commissioners, local government staff and elected officials, students, and preservationists are welcome at this fun event. You won't want to miss out on the raffle - sponsored by Maryland Milestones - a gift basket packed with goods from businesses in the Anacostia Trails Heritage Area.
