From WaPo:

The Arlington County police headquarters were evacuated Saturday night after a bomb threat was received.

The threat was called in about 6: 30 p.m. by an automated system, the police said. A dog made what police called a preliminary hit, prompting officials to call the bomb squad.

The initial “hit” did not necessarily indicate the presence of explosives, but was sufficient to prompt further investigation, authorities said.

The evacuation included the emergency dispatch center, which was moved to an alternate location, said police department spokeswoman Ashley Savage.

She said there was no delay in service.

The building houses not only the police and the dispatch center, but the sheriff’s department as well. It was being searched late Saturday, and authorities were searching the building Saturday night, and advised motorists to avoid the area.
