Very true. Seems all that the newsrooms do anymore is watch Twitter feeds. Gone are the days when they would listen to a bank of scanners and be able to pick out when something significant was happening and knew immediately which jurisdiction.
I get many an inquiry that starts with "we got a tip that....." which I normally reply "so you saw on Twitter."
