a couple of other places that are high in terms of elevation:

According to wikipedia, Fort Reno is the highest spot in the city at 409' ASL - I didn't realize that!  Probably not a good viewing spot tho.

I had thought the Washington Cathedral was the highest spot, trying to search now to see if it's in the running...

also, believe it or else, Fort Lincoln Cemetery, which is not in the city itself but in Brentwood (my dad is buried there.)  :(  The cemetery guy told me that one of the highest spots in the area is in the cemetery.  Not real close, but might be worth checking out.

come to think of it... Arlington Cem might be a good spot to see this flyover.
