Scott,

Yes, I can take the actions you mentioned. But I usually am involved in 
doing something on my computer and it is quicker to turn it off as I 
often have 4 or 5 other scanners also going at the same time. I can just 
as easily select the temporary talkgroup lockout option and maybe will 
start doing that..  I don't mind the normal comms chatter but encrypted 
audio to me is quite annoying especially when the comms are of a long 
duration.
