This is a call to members for input on the ebook I am completing. It is not
for sale, will be given away. The ebook is a historical look back at the
scanners of the past 30 years, the law changes, and the perhaps unique,
funny, serious or otherwise memories of users that have heard some
interesting signals over those years. Bear in mind I do not want any
personal info here or any event that is not already common public
knowledge. I am looking for things like this excerpt I have in the book.
Also need to be able to keep it to a few paragraphs or so. If you wish to
be noted as the contributor you can use your first name or HAM call only.
All those who stories are used will get a copy of the finished ebook. I
guarantee it will be a fun read.

Excerpt from "30 MHz and Up Book"
*“How about a BBQ”?*
*Occasionally you have a radio tuned in on the right frequency at the right
time to hear some interesting things. One of those was a clear down link to
a neighbor in California one afternoon. The person making this patched call
will be obvious. He stated he and his wife were returning*
* home*
* and wanted to know if his next door neighbor wanted to have a cook out
after riding their horses over to his ranch.” I think Nancy and I would
really enjoy some steaks on the grill with you two this afternoon”
Needless to say his voice was very quite clear and anyone who had heard
him on radio or TV in the 1980’s could have recognized who was talking.
Needless to say the technical folks I am sure caught major flack for
allowing this to go out over the air however short the transmission. The
frequency was 415.700 UHF.*
