[Scan-DC] D.C. Fire/EMS Switching Radios Soon?

We’re getting tidbits of information suggesting that D.C. Fire/EMS will be distributing new radios to its firehouses this Sunday.

Presumably, the new APX radios are programmed with the current (FDMA) and future (TDMA/P25) talkgroups.

The switch to the new system could happen as early as next week.  

One source suggested programming changes were made to accommodate mutual aid.  But others say that the Gray Administration is still determined to shut out the news media entirely.

Anybody with more details?
