[Scan-DC] Got me thinking

That in itself says something. Anyway I just read an article in the
Mt.Vernon Gazette Newspaper dated Oct. 23rd under the banner "Drone crashes
in Waynewood". The gist of it was someone was flying a quad copter that
lost control, hit a nearby house and caused the owner and his wife to call
911. First the person flying this thing should have had more sense. Second,
it got me to thinking what frequencies these drones operate on both
transmit and receive. Could a part 15 device be made and marketed that
would cancel out any drone activity near your house based on jamming or
other-wise defeating the radio signal from a distance without interfering
with other things?

I think RC gear is great and if flown or driven at a large park area by
those knowing how to handle things, also fun. But the privacy issues, and
dangers of these things flying into your kids face while he/she plays in
the backyard really bother me. Any comments?
