US Capitol PD started what the dispatchers are calling a “partial migration” to the new radio system on Monday, Feb. 24.

Dispatchers provide these channel assignments to officers throughout the day:

NEW DIGITAL/ENCRYPTED SYSTEM
A-1 Library Division
A-7 TIPS
A-8 House/Senate Chambers

ANALOG SYSTEM
C-1 Inside Patrol (analog Ch.1)
C-4 Outside Patrol (analog Ch.4)

Much of the day C-1 and C-4 (the analog channels 1 and 4) have been patched.  I think talkgroup 2 from the trunked system is patched with C-1 and talkgroup 3 is patched with C-4.


The NAC is 580.

Talkgroups range from 2 to 52, with “2” being the most active.
