The fog was so thick this morning.

(How thick was it, Johnny?)

The fog was so thick this morning that I couldn't see the northbound CSX signals at CP Janneys Lane from the Braddock Road Metro platform. Ordinarily they can easily be seen. When I got to work, I saw that a coworker who usually commutes on the VRE from Manassas was not in yet. I figured that his train had been delayed. It turns out that he took a sick day. Good choice. A pedestrian was struck by a train at Burke. Northbound VRE trains 330 and 332 have been canceled.

The old Southern Railway frequency of 160.950 MHz is one to monitor.
