I believe RS tried to get into the computer chain store business too, via an operation known as Computer City. That was in the mid-1990s. I recall they had advertising flyers in the Sunday Washington Post, along with Erols, Luskins, and Dart Drug.

It says they were sold to CompUSA. That makes sense, as I thought they had a store in Alexandria. The old CompUSA, across Duke Street from the Landmark Mall (which itself has the look that it is going under), is now a Big Lots.

When I lived in Atlanta ~15 years ago, Radio Shack opened a new concept store called Tech America.
