[Scan-DC] Wireless Home Phone Service in D.C. area

*I have had Vonage for over 5 years and am very pleased with it. The
initial modem cost is about $70 with a replacement guarantee a
replacement sent at no additional cost if there is a problem. The
service is dependable and my monthly cost is less than $40. I have the
world wide calling option for about $6 additional a month because I have
a good friend in Germany whom I call frequently with no time
limitations. I was able to keep my old phone number. I have 1.5 acres
with 3 outbuildings and the most distant one from my house at 300 ft.
At Sams Club I bought a Uniden set of 5 wireless phones set for about
$80. All work great. There is no loss of connectivity when using any
of them at 300 ft. distance. I dropped Verizon years ago because of
frequent technical problems but mainly I was paying about $60 and as you
mentioned it included charges and taxes that were ridiculous. I never
regretted the decision.**
