For much of the day on Tuesday, Takoma Park police were busy on the department's "ops" channel directing traffic in old town.

After hearing several references to a helicopter, it got the best of me and I had to check it out.

Note the camera dangling beneath the drone.

The crew had UHF radios but I never saw them used. I had no hits on my CLOSE-CALL from the crew or the drone.

What freqs do these drones use?

It looked like a holiday ad as the crew put Christmas decorations on the buildings.

An older gentleman sitting on the bench smoking a cigarette asked: Why does the Post Office need to advertise? Do they have competition? The PO seems to always be the cheapest even for packages and they often deliver for the other carriers.
