[Scan-DC] Well written newspaper article, no?

Any digital radio is choppy and spotty on the Baltimore County multicast P25 system.
Too many reflections and multiple signals cause havoc on the decoder here. I'm using
a beam pointed at the tower on a 197 and that picks up 99.9% of the time. My 96,
106 & 800 all get choppy and spotty depending on where I am and 1 foot makes a
difference. I have a RS 800MHz antenna on all 3 portables.

>> Yes, it can.

>> Its radio was imperfect technology and needed improvements and wouldn't necessarily work with Harris RF communication systems.
>> leads to the possibility that the new Harris RF radio system is OpenSky, not P25.
