That is correct that POTUS gets the ambulance (more than likely technically a medic unit) bringing up the rear, though I believe the use of MPD to block cross streets is on occasion used for other VIPs depending on the motorcade route and circumstances...certainly the various protective agencies would reserve the right to use all possible tools/methods if called for and would never not use one simply because of who the VIP -isn't-
