Air Defense Identification Zone... it's the restricted flight space around
the DC-Balto region managed by the NCRCC (National Capitol Region
Coordination Center) of the FAA. Any aircraft flying in the ADIZ has to
have prior approval from the NCRCC with the exception of aircraft in
predetermined "lanes" for DCA arrivals and departures.
