As many are aware I am a big fan of cameras - dash cams, security cams, etc.
Here's what my home security camera picked up last night:

The text of the upload says:
At 3:55am the morning of May 4, 2013 two people were videotaped by my home security system entering a vehicle parked on 6th Street in Annapolis, MD. Several cameras catch a good view of the two suspects as they approach however the camera that sees them in the vehicle is very dark. That shot, from :28 sec to 1:42 shows them entering the shot from the right, walking up to the vehicle and opening the driver's door. You can see a light go on inside the passenger compartment and the suspect can be seen searching the inside of the vehicle for a total of 1 minute. Then in the shot after that the same suspect can be seen checking the door of the next car before moving Northwest on 6th Street. During the time the first suspect was searching the vehicle the second was lost from view and was not seen again.
This video was captured by an inexpensive home security system. I heartily suggest all homeowners consider investing in such equipment to help fight criminals, petty or otherwise.
There is no audio.
To be clear I do not believe this is news. I do think this is another good example as to why everyone should consider such protection. That system that caught his evidence cost me $350, and I haven't finished mounting the other 4 cameras.
Thanks
Kurt
