You can get made in America Firestik antennas that have
the 3/8-24 threads. Any CB antenna less then 4 feet is a
very local antenna. I used to use a KW-7 7' and now I
have a 102" stainless whip. No spring, 28.46. With spring,
somewhere around Ch 11. The full size quarter wave beats
any loaded antenna I've ever used. (if you have room for it)
