I took the Arlington County version of the Citizen's Police Academy, and it was very good and very enlightening.

The Alexandria Police Department is seeking community members to join its Citizens Academy.

Class size is limited to 20 participants and participants are asked to commit to attending all of the 10 sessions. Participants of the Citizens Police Academy must be at least 21 years old and live or work in the city. In addition, Criminal History checks will be conducted on all applicants for final approval.
