[Scan-DC] 162.0600 mhz. user?

I've been recording the activity last evening and overnight. My observations so far:

1) I have not noticed encrypted transmissions. Seems to all be in the clear. Although maybe my HomePatrol just ignores the encrypted transmissions so I don't even know they're there?

2) It's clearly some type of law enforcement.

3) A lot of talk about "gates": Charlie gate, north gate, etc. Also frequent reference to the "northeast" part of whatever they are patrolling.

4) I captured a reference last night to one unit being near the "split for Washington/495." I can't picture where such a split would be. If, by chance, he meant "Washington/395," that could be Washington Blvd and 395, and that is the general vicinity of Ft. Myer.

5) For a digital system, the copy is unusually clear and reliable from my place in Arlington. Most digital systems, even Arlington's own, cut out a lot (usually right at the most interesting point of the transmission).

6) As mentioned previously, the NAC is F.

I'll keep listening.

Andy
