One thing to keep in mind as far as taken pictures is the time of day and
position of the sun. You would most likely want to be on the east side of
1R otherwise you'll be shooting into the sun as it's approaching. I'm
planning for 1R since the winds have consistently been out of the north
lately. I scoped out some spots yesterday and in the process found out the
Sully Plantation will be charging $10/car to get in there. It looks like
I'll be going to the large shopping center at Rt50/Centreville Rd. The
distance from the centerline of the approach should be good for a nice angle
with my 300mm lens.

As for frequencies
On it's first approach to Dulles, after ZDC, it should be on 124.65 before
switching to 125.8 for the final approach to 1R. Then 120.1. After the
initial flyby it could either be handed off to 125.05 or back to 125.8.
>From there as it heads to DC I would expect 119.85/118.95/119.3 and then
maybe DCA tower 119.1 as it's fly up the river through DC. After that is
probably when it will do a flyby at Goddard before heading back to Dulles.

A NASA freq worth monitoring is 235.4. It has been heard with comms between
NASA905 and NASA932, a C-9 that apparently flies ahead of 905 when it's
carrying a shuttle.
