[Scan-DC] NASA T-38 jets to fly low over D.C. next month

Actually, 09W has been on the maps long before the redoing of the
approximately 7-8 year old "newer" S. Capitol St Bridge.  Remember, that the
inside end of the bridge was actually lowered to meet closer to the shore
line when the bridge was redone (it used to still be elevated where the
entrance to the stadium is located).  I might be wrong, but I ***believe***
09W is the heliport at Buzzard Point where MPD Falcon flies out of.  Here is

I believe it is the on/off ramp of the bridge which crosses the Anacostia
River closest to the National's Stadium.  It should be used for emergency
landings only!
