Andy:
I beat you by about 3 months! I loaded the software on an old laptop and I
have used my old RS 2096 and my HP-1, and surprisingly, the analog radio
works better! I am using the collapsible antenna that came with the radio,
and reception is spotty, but I still get quite a few hits.
It is fun when I am relaxing with nothing else to do!

Mike,
Thanks for the info. It reminded me that I discovered exactly what you
said--it works best if you leave the squelch open. I used an Icom R7000 and
R8500, and a Bearcat 247T. It worked on all three. No mods needed.
