[Scan-DC] Something different -- ACARS (131.55 MHz)

I experimented years ago with MDT monitoring.  It was about the time Bill 
Cheek got nailed for publishing MTD messages on the web. By the time I was 
trying it all I could get was Baltimore City Police, and a few Baltimore cab 
companies and one Arlington PD frequency. The MDT’s were going to trunked 
channels and then digital, so it was a short lived for me. I also used to do 
the POCSAG pager monitoring.  All gone with the good old days of cell, and 
cordless phone monitoring.

Thanks for the info. It reminded me that I discovered exactly what you 
said--it works best if you leave the squelch open. I used an Icom R7000 and 
R8500, and a Bearcat 247T. It worked on all three. No mods needed.
