Anne Arundel County and Annapolis police have no plans to move away from 10
codes.

Amy Miguez, an Annapolis police spokeswoman, said city officers, unlike
state troopers, rarely have to work with other jurisdictions. They do work
with county police, but the two agencies use the same 10 codes, so there's
little chance of confusion there.
County police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said the department already has a
policy to use plain language when talking to other departments in
emergencies.
