OK, all you listeners, lurkers, shirkers and slackers, the last time any
of us tried to meet up was just over four years ago. This park sounds like
a great place for the Second Quadrennial Scan-DC Get-Together, and this
Sunday the 27th seems like a good day for it with the nice weather we're
having. Let's try to meet there between noon and 1 p.m. - we have several
maybes and two or three of us who are in for sure. So bring a scanner and a
(turkey!) sandwich, or the other way around, depending on your priorities,
check out Long Bridge Park, and meet other folks on the list vis-a-vis, or
hand-to-hand, as Deputy Barney Fife would say.

It sounds like it's a pretty big place, so I'm not sure how we'll all meet
up; guess we'll figure something when we get there, unless anyone has any
ideas.

Please post to the list if you're going, or think you might.

I'm driving from Gaithersburg, can meet people somewhere there and also
maybe at Montgomery Mall and / or Carderock Park if anyone wants a lift.

Hope to see lots of you there... I know it's pretty short notice, so if
this doesn't work out maybe we can pick a date in the spring and really give
it a big push.

Regards,

Doug
