It's hard to believe this was nearly 30 years ago. I was in high
school.
I recall even in the 1990's you could monitor White House Secret Service
communications (talking about Crown, etc.) in the clear, in the VHF
band. Those transmissions didn't usually contain any sensitive
information, but it was still cool to listen to. I remember the night of
Clinton's inauguration listening to general discussion about the
logistics of going from party to party.
Is any Secret Service stuff still on the air today, in the clear?
