better now that I've turned it off. Am almost certain that this
is ICC radio traffic, just heard a unit make a traffic stop at
"milepost (something point something"). Heard similar traffic
earlier and the milepost numbers jive with those on the road.
Sometimes they just call out using the mile marker number but
without saying "milepost", i.e. "Traffic stop 6.9 westbound,
Maryland tag WFC-803)

trunking receivers, please (program and) take a listen to
talkgroup 16688 on the Montgomery County system and see what you
think - I heard a lot of activity earlier, and I suspect this may
be the (until now!) elusive ICC talkgroup. It is currently
labeled as Rockville Local Government 1... As soon as the bosses
leave here for the day, I'll settle in for the evening shift and
will be monitoring it, but I think I heard callsigns such as
"I-6", "I-7", and "Motor I-9", a unit making a traffic stop
("Welcome to the ICC, here are your Green Stamps!" No, I didn't
hear _that_!), and some talk about "zones".
