[Scan-DC] ICC Frequencies

I forgot who, but I'm pretty sure Eric is thinking/mentioning a different
post... I remember it also. My speculation was that they would stay on the
same frequencies, and that I would use the Nice Bridge channel considering
the distance. The other poster said that they would stay on the same
frequencies, but would be using one of the tunnel frequencies. This poster
almost sounded like an inside person, but just after the post is when we
started getting posts that there were two transportation agencies with
similar names... don't know if they were referring to the transportation
agency covering the tunnels though...

Come to think of it, you have a point about the range... and it also just
dawned on me that the State Roads Commission (or whatever they are called
now) is (are?) on low band, and the antenna on the pole looks more like a
whip - could be for them rather than the police... bet you're right about
the repeaters also...
By the way, that was Dewey's post on RR, I think, and he was also
speculating... I think he posted something similar here (about them staying
on the 450 MHz band) - probably a good guess. I'm in the process of adding
those frequencies to my radios now and will start scanning them within the
next few days - will advise of anything I hear that might be ICC stuff.

But I think I did see a couple of cruisers there... wasn't close enough to
see antennas at that point but believe me, will be on the lookout! I had
been wondering who would police it and didn't recognize the colors and
graphics on the cruisers I saw, but Google was my friend this morning, which
was when I found that it would be the Transportation Authority Police...
will scope things out as much as I can over the holidays and report back!
