Here is something interesting to think about (I know, its off topic a little).

I recently purchased an item called Eye-Fi. Its a SD Card (I think up to 8 gb) with a built in Wi-Fi card inside. You configure it once, and it automatically uploads your videos and pictures to your wireless network, and to photo sharing sites such as facebook, flicker or others. It saves the trouble of actually connecting the SD card to the 'puter - and also your pics are waiting for you when you sit down at your machine. They are a bit pricey, but very worth it, especially if you take lots of pics.

No, this is not an ad...

I was at Radio Shack yesterday, where I saw an amazingly baffled clerk who clearly didn't have any concept of what memory card was appropriate for a digital camera that a quite angry customer discovered he need to buy, after he had gone back home with his new camera. At any rate, RS has SanDisk 4GB SD cards selling for $8.99, which, if I am not mistaken, is not a bad price. A two-pack of 2GB cards is $24.99. You do the math to see which is the better buy.

I can't think of any scanner applications, but you surely have some other uses for these. I'm going to snag a few.
