[Scan-DC] Interesting - heard on radio

While it might be looked at as gun shy (not that looking at it that way is
wrong), this can also be a way of ensuring that no more cars go out of
service before the storm.  While PMs might be completed the same day as
scheduled, its not odd for them to sometimes take an additional day or two.
If I take my cruiser to the shop for a scheduled PM tomorrow, first, I might
make arrangements to get it over there tonight (hence the announcement
today).  Next, one minor unforeseen circumstance could cause the job to take
longer than a day.  Now we're into the day of the storm, and that's one less
car available on the street that didn't have to be off the street right
away.  Again, just one man's ***unofficial*** thought process has the same
thing been heard over the DC zones.
