[Scan-DC] Mobile Phone Scanning Apps?

I use an iPhone and have Emergency Radio, Police Radio and Scanner911 apps.
I almost exclusively use Emergency Radio. The channels I need are almost
always active. The other apps are more hit and miss about that. The big
issue with the iPhone is that you can only do one thing when listening to
these apps: listen. There is no multi-tasking, such as checking your email,
calendars, etc., while you monitor the radio traffic. The new OS 4.0
software out in a couple of months is supposed to resolve this for the
iPhone. Otherwise, I have to say that I don't use my handheld scanner as
much these days. The iPhone is more convenient. I focus on Fairfax County
VA. The channel gives me both fire and police, which is great. And, when I
get bored, I can listen to the cops in Las Vegas, fire and rescue in
Brisbane, Australia, the California Highway Patrol, etc. Bill
