LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR AND SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY SECRETARY
TO RECOGNIZE PUBLIC SAFETY TELECOMMUNICATIONS PROFESSIONALS

WHO:             Lieutenant Governor Matt Denn and Secretary of Safety and 
Homeland Security Lewis Schiliro will join the Association of Public-Safety 
Communications Officials (APCO) International and the New Castle County 
Police Department to celebrate the life-saving work of public safety 
communications professionals.

Delaware State Police Chief of Communications William Carrow, who is the 
first incoming president of APCO International from the state of Delaware, 
will be on hand to make remarks.

WHAT:          Lieutenant Governor Denn, Secretary Schiliro and 
representatives from APCO International and the New Castle County Police 
Department will kick off National Public Safety Telecommunications Week with 
a press conference and tour of the New Castle County Police Department 
communications center. National Public Safety Telecommunications Week (April 
11-17, 2010), sponsored by APCO International, recognized by the U.S. 
Congress and celebrated annually, honors the thousands of men and women who 
respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment 
and render life-saving assistance to the world’s citizens.
