Does anyone know if there is a color coding standard for the size of the
distribution line or the flow rate? Within the same water districts I see
that the body of the hydrant are all the same color. The caps including the
steamer and the top have colors that vary. All the hydrants on the main
roads are one cap color and then the side streets and dead end streets have
different colors.
Many of the locating whips must be made by Shakespeare or some company that
use to make CB antennas. They have the classic CB whip spring at the bottom.
They are not as good quality as something like an old Antenna Specialist
whip.

Here in the Maryland suburbs, one can be in 4 counties within 10 minutes.
Howard Co is yellow, AA is Red I forget the others but remember some here in
town being painted white lately. How smart is that!
