I went out cross-country skiing in Alexandria. Along the way, I saw
someone looking for a fire hydrant. It didn't occur to me until I had
gone past that he was a member of the Alexandria FD. As soon as I got
back home, I cleared the sidewalk out to the street and then cleared off
the fire hydrant. The cleared sidewalk would make it possible, if the
need should arise, for EMTs to get to the house.
 
Nonetheless, there was not a digital scanner left for me under the tree.
