Derailment, I gather. It seems to have been a chartered train, not one of
the regular Amtrak trains. 750 passengers would be a huge load for
Amtrak. This train was full of safety patrol kids. I can remember when
they used to run a whole bunch of these in the spring. January is not the
usual time of the year for these.

It seems that both the eastbound and westbound Cardinal, Amtrak #50 annd
#51, were delayed by a freight train derailment just west of Staunton VA
on Friday.
