The Leesburg Police Department is investigating an incident during the
morning rush hour when a pedestrian apparently was struck and killed by
a dump truck on the Leesburg Bypass.

The incident was reported
at 9:20 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the bypass between the exits for
West Market Street and South King Street. A woman was pronounced dead
at the scene.

dOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT HAPPENED IN LEESBURG, VA THIS MORNING? Some kind of crime scene investigation is going on the side of East bound RT 7, just before RT 15. The road is now shut down. I was able to drive by before this happened. Many police officers, cameras, measuring equipment, etc. Officers in the woods along RT 7.
