The fire dispatchers and EMS personnel in Montgomery frequently get that one wrong... but at least I've never heard anyone say anything like "electrocuted to death"!
The former Fire Department Public Information Officer here in Mtgy (now with DC, but I'm not mentioning any names) used to put out press releases to the effect of "succumbed to his injuries and died."
AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!
(Now, if he succumbed to his injuries and _lived_... I couldn't quarrel about that!)
