[Scan-DC] State of Emergency in Virginia

Been a killer day here in virginia beach, all cities are very active,
scanner is non stop, many evacuations and flooded homes,most bayside and
oceanside places are flooded

But so far no reported deaths here, and from the emails from friends at the
outer banks they are getting it a lil worse than we are, Hiway 12 is closed
and some houses in nags head are getting ready to go into the sea

My parents live in Virginia Beach, right on the bay. They said it's been
incredible wind and rain for two days. Probably some great scanner
listening, especially on the marine channels. I bought my dad a good scanner
a few years back so he could listen to the action, but being from the
greatest generation, if a gizmo has more than a volume control and an on/off
switch, it's too complicated to mess with.
