[Scan-DC] new PG county trunk

It seems my original message got bounced by the spam filters, so let me try this again...

The new system is thought that it will use P25 Phase II TDMA. This is a format that cannot be scanned by the current crop of trunktrackers. There is also some thought that there will be some Phase I talkgroups on this system (as I understand it - barely - Phase II equipment can also use Phase I talkgroups).

I also understand that the Phase II protocols are still somewhat in flux - by the time PG comes up, if there will be any systems actually using Phase II, is speculative at best. Whether PG will be a trailblazer and leave us in the dust, is anybody's guess at this point.
