The management at the individual stations decide the time to shut the analog
down.

The Hampton Roads area stations' shut down times today vary:

WHRO ch 15 (PBS) shut down its analog February 17. Has been running its DTV
at 25% power to avoid interference to WBOC analog (Salisbury MD). Will
increase to full power after today. DTV 16.

WTVZ ch 33 (MNTV) shut down their analog February 17. Recently migrated DTV
to ch 33 from ch 38.

WSKY ch 4 (ind) has been digital only since 11/2007. This station will
migrate its DTV to ch 9 in August.

WAVY ch 10 (NBC) and WVBT ch 43 (FOX) shut their analog at 9am. DTV 31 and
29 respectively.

WVEC ch 13 (ABC) ceased regular analog programming this morning; running 10
minute instructional video continuously until midnight. The DTV signal will
migrate to ch 13 from ch 41 at that time.

WGNT ch 27 (CW) says it will shut its analog down at 6pm. DTV 50

WTKR ch 3 (CBS) says only some time this evening. DTV 40

WPXV ch 49 (ION) has already shut their analog down this morning. DTV 46

WHRE ch 21 (TBN) says they will flash cut at midnight. DTV will be on ch 7.
This will displace WGBS-LP in Portsmouth. I presume WGBS is ready to flash
cut after midnight. DTV will be on ch 11.

Low powered WTKD ch 17 (simulcast WAVY) and WNLO ch 45 (simulcast WVBT) have
been digital only for at least 3 years now. Transmitters same location as
the parent's full power. Why they have LD transmitters at the same location
is beyond me. But that's another topic.
