I apologize for the blatant commercial, but I got a banner ad in Yahoo! mail saying that RS is selling 8-packs of alkaline Enercell D-cells for $4.99, $6 off the normal price of $10.99. Anytime D-cells are going for less than 75 cents per cell, it's a good price. The sale goes through Saturday, May 30. Even I might break down and get some, though I'm not low on them.

Virginia has a sales tax holiday going on right now on goods related to getting through a hurricane. Surely D-cells qualify.
