Wouldn't scanner owners listening to aviation frequencies in the NYC area have been able to hear SAM 28000 or SAM 29000 talking to the local controllers on the usual civilian frequencies? I can't believe absolutely no one knew who that was in the air.

If this one over the Capitol is chased by flying saucers, I think that will make a good show.
