Much as I would prefer to be there, I have to be in Towson
chaperoning the young ladies of our youth group all weekend.

As a resident of the area, two remarks:

 

Yes the area of Carroll St NW from Metro to restaurant is safe,
daytime or night. Highly visible members of our MPDC walk that
area.

And.

I think the reason it is safe is the above line, not that Alan
lives in the area!
