[Scan-DC] Problems with VRE?

The Metrorail station manager at the Pentagon made an announcement to the effect that VRE passengers would be accepted. This makes me think that, for some reason (broken rail?), VRE trains aren't running, at least on one line. The yellow line trains northbound through the Pentagon were packed. I had to wait for the third one to get on. Two blue line trains went by, but the crowds weren't as large on them.

I saw nothing on a railfan site about any problems.
